Telos Corporation is seeking a Security Operations Analyst to monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents across enterprise platforms. This role requires collaboration with Security Engineering and IT Operations to improve overall security posture.

The position is based in Ashburn, VA (HQ) with two openings for night and day shifts, including holidays. A strong focus on threat hunting, incident response, and documentation is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 2+ years in information security or related technical role.
• DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce qualifications or ability to obtain preferred.
• Certifications such as CySA+, ECIH, CEH are desirable.

Responsabilités

• Monitor security platforms (SIEM, EDR, email/security) for indicators of compromise.
• Investigate cybersecurity incidents and coordinate with IT and stakeholders.
• Perform proactive threat hunting and document findings clearly.
• Maintain evidence during investigations and ensure timely reports.
• Develop and improve incident response playbooks and runbooks.
• Produce executive summaries and technical documentation on incidents.
• Support security projects and implement process improvements.
