Job summary

Summit 7 Systems in Huntsville, AL (with remote option) seeks a SOC Analyst to triage, investigate threats, deploy and tune SIEM, and mentor junior analysts. You will work with security tooling and stay current on threats and defensive techniques.

Requires Windows/Linux admin skills, Security+ or SANS SEC401, and knowledge of KQL. The role offers health benefits, 401k with matching, paid time off, and opportunities for certification-based salary growth.

Qualifications

• Must have administrative skills across Windows, OS X, Linux systems.
• Experience with the Microsoft Security Stack.
• Familiar with SIEM concepts and threat detection.
• Clear communication and security presentation skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Triage, detect, and investigate potential security threats per established procedures.
• Deploy, tune, and maintain SIEM and detection platforms.
• Mentor Jr SOC Analysts and provide training to the team.
• Support service improvement and security project initiatives.
