vTech Solution is seeking a motivated SOC Analyst I (Tier I) to join the NSOC team in Washington, DC. This on-site role supports 24/7 monitoring, detection, triage, and escalation of security events to maintain continuous operational readiness and security posture.

You will collaborate with teammates to develop playbooks, dashboards, and detection strategies while documenting incidents and ensuring timely actions across nights, weekends, and holidays in a rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Support a 24/7 shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Provide proactive, on-site monitoring and response for mission-critical communication sites and information systems.
• Classify, prioritize, and escalate alerts promptly to ensure timely resolution.
• Follow established procedures for data collection, triage, analysis, classification, and escalation to meet performance targets.
• Capture, log, respond to, and escalate events from email, chat, voice, and other systems with accurate documentation.
• Collect and analyze technical data to classify events and distinguish valid issues from false positives, maintaining triage accuracy standards.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and refine playbooks, dashboards, metrics, and detection strategies.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of incidents and recommended response actions.
• Support network and security incident response as directed.

This role involves detecting, triaging, and escalating security events to ensure continuous operational readiness and security posture.

Responsibilities:

• Support a 24/7 shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Provide proactive, on-site monitoring and response for mission-critical communication sites and information systems.
