Job summary

Akima Technical Solutions (ATS) is seeking a Tool Room Attendant to support SOATB aviation tool room operations at Fort Campbell North, KY. The role requires handling hand tools, dies, TMDE, and related supplies, with emphasis on inventory control and compliance.

Responsibilities include assisting the toolroom supply technician, issuing and receiving items using customer tracking software, and conducting periodic inventories maintaining accuracy and safety on the flight line.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a secret clearance ( Interim secret required to start ).
• Previous automotive/truck/aviation tool room experience desired.
• Must be able to pass a basic physical to operate ground support equipment and to operate a vehicle on the flight line.
• Must have a driver’s license to be certified to operate customer equipment such as forklifts and GSA vehicles.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Job description

Tool room attendant supporting SOATB aviation tool room operations.

Responsibilities

• Assists the toolroom supply technician.
• Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, dies, test kits, consumable supplies, special tools, and Test, Measurement, Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).
• Inspects and inventories kits and tools before issuing or receiving items back into the tool room.
• Conducts periodic inventories of the tool room hand receipt.
• Will issue and receive equipment and supplies using customer provided tracking software.
• Tracks scheduled maintenance and inspections of Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (AGSE) in customer software programs and completes all forms and records IAW service guidance and site policies and procedures.
