Akima (ATS) is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I to support MH47 operations at Fort Campbell, KY. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining aircraft systems on the MH47 platform, maintaining logs, and interpreting manuals and service data.

Job description

ATS is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic to work in Fort Campbell, KY. To join our team of outstanding professionals,

The Aircraft Mechanic 1 troubleshoots, repairs, and replaces MH47 functional components including rigging, flight controls, components, plumbing and hydraulic units, using hand tools, power tools, and special tools/test sets.

Responsibilities
  • Candidate supports the SOATB MH47 program.
  • Emphasis will be on flight line maintenance.
  • The Aircraft Mechanic I troubleshoots malfunctions on aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulics, engines, axillary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems.
  • Will enter maintenance in ACN logbook system.
  • Candidate will read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
Qualifications
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
  • 6+ years' experience in Army aviation.
  • Ability to travel 1-2 weeks at a time / complete TDY assignments.
  • Must be able to pass a basic physical to operate equipment/vehicles on the flight line and be a member of the aircraft towing team.
  • Experience using aircraft special tools and test sets.
  • Must have own tools/toolbox.
  • Must be able to climb on and around aircraft and use maintenance stands.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Experience with MH47 aircraft is desirable.
