Job summary

MSM Technology, LLC seeks a SOAR engineer with a strong background in security operations, threat detection, and security engineering. You will contribute to Threat Defense Solutions with focus on detection, automation, and AI capabilities to help the client grow and mature.

You will work with in-house teams to translate customer needs into secure, effective solutions, and take a critical design approach to identify gaps and customize solutions balancing security with business goals.

Qualifications

• Must hold active SECRET clearance.
• HS Diploma or GED minimum requirement.
• DOD 8570/8140 certified (IAT Level II, e.g. CompTIA Security+).
• Experience supporting DoD or government agencies.
• Experience building security automation based on analyst needs.
• Experience with playbook development on SOAR platforms (e.g., Tines, Palo Alto XSOAR, Splunk Phantom, Swimlane).
• Experience programming in Python.
• Experience integrating solutions via APIs and creating custom apps.

Responsibilities

• Develop Threat Defense Solutions focusing on detection, automation, and AI capabilities.
• Collaborate with in-house teams to map customer needs to secure, effective solutions.
• Critically assess designs, identify gaps, and tailor solutions to balance security and business needs.
