Job summary

RTX in Cedar Rapids, IA offers an internship/co-op focused on platform systems engineering within Collins Aerospace. You will learn requirements capture for cockpit avionics, decompose requirements across domains, and help create test procedures to verify them.

Work in an Agile environment with professional engineers, gaining exposure to DOORS, JIRA, and ALM tools, while pursuing a STEM degree.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Systems or Aerospace Engineering, or Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.

• Participate in decomposing and allocating requirements to appropriate domains within Collins Aerospace
• Support the creation of test procedures to verify requirements
• Participate in on-site execution of requirements-based testing, robustness and Ad-Hoc testing in a lab environment (schedule flexibility is necessary during formal test phases).
• Collaborate within an Agile-based development team of professional engineers

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
