Job summary

ASM is seeking a Senior Technical Manager in New Jersey to lead customer-focused projects, align with BUs, and deliver solutions that meet and exceed expectations. You will drive strategic planning, growth, and scalability initiatives aligned with corporate direction to achieve ASM’s vision.

In this role, you will manage cross-functional teams, set project targets, and build long-term relationships with customers while ensuring successful installations and process development.

Qualifications

• Master degree or above in a relevant technical field.
• Solid knowledge of semiconductor packaging, preferably CVD/ALD/Furnace/EPI domains.
• Experience supporting complex instrumentation, applications and informatics.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall project management and set targets with local/global teams.
• Assess current and future customer needs and build lasting solutions.
• Improve customer experience through process and tool development.
• Drive new product installs and process development.
• Lead site startups and plan risks for readiness and execution.

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Senior Technical Manager, you will be responsible to lead the project to understand our customers’ needs, and provide technical support and subsequent implementation with alignment with BUs to ensure we deliver solution and value to meet even exceed customers’ expectation.

As a key driver of business success, you will drive and lead strategic planning, implement growth and scalability initiatives aligned with corporate strategy in order to achieve the vision and targets.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the overall project management, setting up the project targets based on the changing business needs and working closely with the local and global management team to ensure all targets are met;
• Evaluate, understand and identify current customer needs, while also anticipating future needs and building long-term sustainable relationship and solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement of the customer experience through team, process and support tool development.
• Drive and manage new product installs and subsequent process development.
• Leading new site start up and planning/risk assessment for readiness/execution successfully to get customer recognition and satisfaction.
• Define project scope and resource planning together with BU, escalates to Manager for resource gap.

REQUIREMENTS

• Master degree or above.
• Solid technical knowledge and deep business perspective in the Semiconductor packaging industry, preferably in CVD/ALD/Furnace/EPI related.
• Strong industry experience that support complex instrumentation, applications and informatics.
• Ability to work in a team environment with tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
• Ability to collaborate with others to find the best solutions.
• Solid team management experience.
• Good command of English.
