Job summary

Snowbird is seeking a Snowsports Instructor for Winter 2026-2027 to guide guests of all ages in ski and snowboard learning, safety and fun. You’ll deliver engaging, adaptive instruction and uphold Snowbird's standards.

PSIA/AASI certification and 6–12 months of instruction experience are preferred. This seasonal, part-time and full-time role includes weekends/holidays with training opportunities and employee perks.

Qualifications

  • PSIA/AASI certification required.
  • Ability to ski or ride single black diamond terrain.
  • 6–12 months of instruction experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional resilience.
  • Digital literacy for scheduling and communication.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging instruction that requires quick thinking, emotional awareness, and the ability to assess and respond to diverse learning styles and physical capabilities.
  • Provide real-time feedback to guests, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm and encouraging under pressure.
  • Uphold Snowbird and PSIA/AASI teach philosophies, which demand both technical knowledge and mental flexibility.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as scheduling, incident reports, and client follow-ups with attention to detail and timeliness.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions and staff meetings to stay mentally sharp and aligned with Snowbird's instructional standards.
  • Maintain a high level of physical readiness by ensuring your gear is functional and your body is prepared for the day's weather and terrain.
  • Represent Snowbird with professionalism, even in high-stress or rapidly changing environments.
  • Occasional travel to other resorts requires adaptability and logistical awareness.
