Job summary

Red Lodge Mountain is seeking an energetic snowsport instructor to provide safe and enjoyable ski/snowboard lessons for guests. You will use modern teaching techniques, select terrain suitable to guests, and attend training clinics.

The role involves teaching children as young as 3, moving snow when needed, and coordinating with staff via radio and telephone. Candidates should demonstrate strong interpersonal communication, intermediate skiing or snowboarding ability, and flexibility to work

  • Ability to work varied schedule including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, enjoyable snowsport lessons for guests using modern teaching techniques.

Job description

Job Summary:Promote the sport of skiing or snowboarding by providing safe, enjoyable, and effective snowsport lessons for guests.

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasksinclude the following; other duties may be assigned:

Ensure customer satisfaction with efficient, friendly service.

Instruct and educate guests in skiing or snowboarding using modern teaching techniques.

Select appropriate terrain for lesson according to guest skill level.

Attend training clinics.

Work with children 3 years and older.

Remove or relocate snow as needed.

Effectively communicate with other employees both in person and via telephone/two-way radio.

Skills and Qualifications:

Required:

PSIA/AASI certification.

Knowledge of the ski industry.
