Job summary

The Summit at Snoqualmie is seeking a Snowmaking Supervisor to assist the Snowmaking Manager with daily planning, scheduling, and resource allocation, while leading safety programs and providing performance input across the department.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of snowmaking experience.
• Proficient in all Snowmaking Foreman/Lead skills.
• Proficient with snowmaking software, weather monitoring tools, and production data reporting.
• Strong strategic thinking and resource-allocation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with department and resort leadership.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Prior formal supervisory or scheduling experience is preferred.
• Experience with incident reporting and safety compliance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager in developing daily and weekly snow plans and resource allocation strategies.
• Balance terrain-opening priorities against water, weather windows and labor resources.
• Monitor weather forecasts and production systems, adjusting operations proactively.
• Maintain proficiency with snowmaking tracking software, maintenance software and control systems.
• Record and report snow production data, water usage, and equipment hours.
• Schedule day and night shift staff, managing shift handoffs and coverage gaps.
• Provide performance input for Snowmaker I–III staff to the Manager and mentor Foremen/Leads on leadership decisions.
