Job summary

Guest Services, Inc. is seeking Snowmaker I to support mountain snowmaking operations. This entry-level role involves operating and maintaining snowmaking equipment outdoors in winter conditions, including overnight shifts.

You’ll work under experienced staff to ensure safe, quality snow production across varied terrain at Giants Ridge. You’ll join a hardworking, fun-loving team with opportunities for seasonal advancement within resort operations and guest services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Possess a valid Class D driver’s license.
• Ability to learn ski area and snowmaking system layouts.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate snowmaking equipment including snow guns, hoses, hydrants, valves, and related components.
• Assist with setup, movement, installation, and removal of snowmaking equipment across varying terrain.
• Perform routine inspections and report maintenance and safety concerns.
• Monitor snow quality and production and make basic adjustments as instructed.
• Assist with startup, shutdown, and winter operation of snowmaking systems.
• Maintain safe work areas and follow safety procedures.
• Participate in shift meetings and communicate operational concerns.
• Assist with fueling, housekeeping, and snowmaking support activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
