Job summary

Sugarbush Resort in Vermont seeks Snowmaking Control Room Technicians for the upcoming winter season. This winter seasonal role supports creating high-quality snow and delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Shift pattern includes 12 hours on, 4 days per week with night hours 7pm–7am and potential overtime. Pay ranges from $20/hour to $24/hour depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• Mechanical orientation is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively over the phone and radio.
• Comfortable withstanding loud machinery and exertion.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor snowmaking equipment and pumps.
• Control computer-based snowmaking systems (remote/local).
• Coordinate with on-hill and maintenance staff for supply/demand.
• Set gun parameters and manage hydrants per instructions.
• Serve as liaison between snowmaking and other departments.
• Record hourly operating data and system parameters.
• Track total power usage and stay within transmission limits.
• Maintain peripheral snowmaking gear and report weather changes.
