Job summary

Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, Alaska, seeks a Snowmaker 1 or Snowmaker 2 to operate and maintain artificial snowmaking equipment on our ski trails. You will set up and relocate gear, adjust snow guns, and ensure safe operations around snow cats, machines, and hoses.

Qualifications

• Experience operating artificial snowmaking equipment.
• Ability to work flexible, long shifts, nights.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency in skiing or snowboarding on ungroomed surfaces.
• Reliable and able to stay on-call.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain snowmaking equipment with precision, ensuring snow quality.
• Set up, relocate, and dismantle equipment across mountain locations.
• Adjust snow guns to optimize performance in varying temperatures.
• Remove ice buildup on snow machines and hoses.
• Maintain safety protocols for team and guests.
• Safely operate snow cats, snowmobiles, and hoses.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Fill propane bottles as needed.
• Collaborate with fellow snowmakers and resort staff to deliver a seamless winter experience.
