Job description

The Senior Technical Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing Snowflake, DBT, SQL, and Python processes within the organization. They will play a key role in implementing and maintaining efficient data pipelines, ensuring data integrity, and driving data driven decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain snowflake data cloud environment, including optimizing database performance and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
• Design and implement etl processes using dbt to transform and load data into snowflake for analytics and reporting purposes.
• Write complex sql queries to extract and manipulate data as required by various business units.
• Utilize python programming language to automate data processes, build data pipelines, and create data visualizations.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand data requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs.
• Ensure data security and governance practices are followed in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Skill Requirements

• Proficiency in snowflake data platform, including data warehouse design, implementation, and optimization.
• Experience with dbt (data build tool) for managing data transformations and modeling within a cloud data warehouse environment.
• Strong sql skills with the ability to write and optimize complex queries for data extraction and analysis.
• Proficient in python programming language for data manipulation, automation, and visualization.
• Knowledge of data governance best practices and experience in implementing data security measures within a cloud environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Other Requirements

• SnowPro Core Certification, DBT Fundamentals Certification (preferred).
