Job summary

Praxis Precision Medicines, Inc. is seeking a Senior Snowflake Platform Engineer to own the reliability, governance, security, and cost transparency of our Snowflake environment as we scale data operations for the commercial organization.

You will work hands-on across development, security, identity, AWS, and business systems to keep data available and protected, automate recurring work, and build monitoring, runbooks, and escalation paths for a resilient data platform.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data platforms or cloud/data engineering with Snowflake production experience.
• Strong SQL and Python, automating operations and debugging production issues.
• Deep Snowflake security and operations knowledge.
• Experience managing enterprise identities and least-privilege access.
• Ability to balance cost, performance, and reliability in workloads.
• Git-based development, automated testing, controlled releases, and monitoring.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Own Snowflake platform operations across development, test, and production.
• Strengthen security and governance with role-based access and ownership.
• Resolve platform issues, perform root-cause analysis, and improve monitoring.
• Develop runbooks, escalation paths, and recovery procedures.
• Optimize Snowflake consumption with workload visibility and forecasts.
• Coordinate releases across Snowflake, applications, and AWS dependencies.
• Report reliability and consumption metrics and document risks.
