Job summary

Quantum Technologies. LLC is seeking a Snowflake Administration Technical Lead to own the enterprise Snowflake platform across development, test and production environments in Austin, TX.

The role requires strong hands-on Snowflake expertise, security controls, and cost governance. You will lead incident resolution, drive platform hardening, and collaborate with data engineering and cloud teams to ensure scalable, secure services.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience administering enterprise Snowflake environments across development test and production accounts.
• Expertise in Snowflake account setup and administration including roles and RBAC, users, warehouses, databases, schemas, objects, network policies, and monitors.
• Knowledge of Snowflake security controls: SSO, SAML, OAuth, SCIM provisioning, MFA, masking policies, row access policies, secure views, least privilege.
• Experience with performance tuning and workload optimization using query profiles, history, sizing, multi-cluster warehouses, caching, and SQL tuning.
• Snowflake FinOps and cost optimization: credits, governance, autosuspend/resume, chargeback/showback, anomaly handling.
• Operational monitoring, incident management, root-cause analysis, capacity planning, SLAs-driven production support.
• Snowflake data loading and integration: stages, file formats, COPY, Snowpipe, streams, tasks, dynamic tables, secure data sharing.
• Backup and recovery: Time Travel, Failsafe, zero-copy cloning, replication, failover groups, BC/DR planning.
• Snowflake upgrades, release impact, platform hardening, vulnerability remediation, audit/compliance support.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure or AWS, and integration with cloud storage, identity, networking, secrets management, monitoring.
• Ability to lead the Snowflake administration function, coordinate onshore/offshore support, review changes, enforce standards, primary contact for issues.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day Snowflake platform administration, availability, security, performance, cost governance, compliance and production support.
• Lead incident resolution, root-cause analysis, problem management, change implementation, upgrades, patching and disaster-recovery exercises.
• Partner with data engineering, application cybersecurity, cloud, network and vendor teams to deliver stable and secure platform services.
• Drive automation of access requests, monitoring, operational checks, housekeeping, deployment and recurring support processes.
• Provide technical leadership to offshore administration team, review work quality, maintain runbooks and ensure adherence to SLAs and enterprise standards.
