Praxis Precision Medicines, Inc. is seeking a Senior Snowflake Platform Engineer to own the Snowflake environment, ensuring reliability, security, governance, and cost transparency.

You’ll work with Data Engineering, Security, Identity, AWS, and commercial partners to keep critical data available and protected. The role emphasizes automated, observable, and scalable platform practices that empower engineers and support patient-focused missions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience across data platforms or data engineering, with substantial hands-on Snowflake in production.
• Strong SQL and Python skills, including automation of operational work.
• Deep Snowflake security and operations knowledge, including roles, grants and ownership.
• Experience managing enterprise identities and least-privilege access with Identity teams.
• Understanding platform consumption, cost tradeoffs, and workload optimization.
• Experience with Git-based development, automated testing, and controlled releases.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Own Snowflake platform operations and health across development, test, and production environments.
• Strengthen security and governance with role-based access and lifecycle controls.
• Drive reliability and proactive issue resolution with monitoring and alerts.
• Build repeatable production support practices and incident response procedures.
• Manage Snowflake consumption with visibility into usage and cost optimization.
• Automate change management and coordinate releases across environments.
• Report on reliability, access hygiene, and outstanding risks; maintain documentation.
