Job summary

Toyota North America is seeking a Snowflake & Analytics Platform Engineer to design, administer, and optimize a Snowflake data platform and analytics ecosystem. You will ensure a secure, scalable environment supporting reporting and BI tools like Tableau and AWS QuickSight.

The role collaborates with data engineering, analytics, security, and business teams to improve usability, governance, performance, and adoption of the platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• Experience with Snowflake in engineering, support, analytics, or platform administration.
• Familiarity with Tableau and exposure to AWS QuickSight is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the Snowflake platform across development, test, and production environments.
• Manage Snowflake warehouses, databases, schemas, roles, and access permissions following standards and best practices.
• Monitor platform performance, usage, and cost to support reliable operations.
• Contribute to platform security and governance activities, including RBAC and user provisioning.
• Assist with user onboarding tasks such as account setup and access requests.
• Develop and maintain documentation and operational procedures for Snowflake usage and support.
• Work with analytics and reporting teams to support Tableau and AWS QuickSight.
• Troubleshoot platform, access, and performance issues across Snowflake and connected analytics tools.
• Participate in observability, audit readiness, and operational monitoring to improve reliability and compliance.
• Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and infrastructure teams on platform improvements.
• Contribute to best practices for data platform operations and reusable patterns.
• Stay current on new Snowflake features and analytics capabilities.
