Job summary

Premier Trailer Leasing is building its next-generation Enterprise Data Platform to support growth as part of a hybrid data modernization plan. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced Snowflake builder, designing a greenfield Snowflake environment and delivering governed data products.

You will establish standards, patterns, and production-ready practices, collaborating with Data Leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, scalable data delivery for reporting, APIs,

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive data engineering or data platform experience including production greenfield Snowflake
• Hands-on Snowflake implementation experience with architecture, RBAC, cost governance, and performance tuning
• dbt Cloud with GitHub for modular transformation development, testing, lineage, and CI/CD
• Production pipelines design for resilient ingestion/CDC transformations and delivery
• Data modeling of conformed enterprise models and durable data products
• Strong SQL, Python, Git, and CI/CD practices for controlled production releases
• Plano, TX office-based with in-person collaboration requirements

Responsibilities

• Build a Greenfield Snowflake platform with dbt Cloud and ingestion tooling
• Establish engineering standards, Git workflows, modular development, testing, CI/CD, and deployment controls
• Design layered data architecture with canonical models and published marts
• Design resilient ingestion patterns from SQL Server, ERP, CRM, SaaS apps, APIs, and files
• Migrate consumers to governed data products and decouple legacy sources
• Implement automated testing, reconciliation, freshness monitoring, and runbooks
• Ensure security, cost controls, performance, and production readiness
• Lead platform technical decisions and collaborate across teams
