Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Data Engineer with strong dbt expertise to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and transformation workflows. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting enterprise analytics, enabling data-driven decision-making, and modernizing our data platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Snowflake and modern ELT frameworks
• Build and manage dbt models, including transformations, testing, and documentation
• Optimize data models and queries for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency
• Collaborate with data analysts, BI teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements
• Develop data marts and dimensional models to support reporting and analytics
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and governance practices
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and integrate data from various sources
• Automate workflows using orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect)
• Ensure best practices in version control, CI/CD, and deployment pipelines
• Support troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning of data processes

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related field
• Strong hands‑on experience with Snowflake Data Cloud
• Expertise in dbt (Data Build Tool) for transformation and modeling
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with complex queries and optimization
• Experience with data warehousing concepts (star/snowflake schemas, SCDs, etc.)
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python preferred)
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and orchestration tools
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Exposure to BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
• Experience with data governance, data lineage, and security best practices
• Relevant certifications (Snowflake, dbt, or cloud certifications)
