Job summary

Peraton seeks a Lead Snowflake Data Architect & Administrator to design, implement, and govern enterprise Snowflake solutions across AWS and Azure. You will lead a team of Snowflake admins and data engineers, acting as Product Owner and guiding stakeholders to align backlogs with platform goals.

The role requires 12+ years in data architecture with Snowflake expertise, advanced SQL, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

12+ years in data architecture with hands-on Snowflake administration.
Deep Snowflake architecture knowledge: storage, compute, time travel, fail-safe, zero-copy cloning.
Cloud experience with AWS and Azure; familiarity with Redshift and Oracle.
Proven leadership of technical teams, including Snowflake administrators and data engineers.
Experience managing projects, SOWs, and C-level client relationships in public sector.
Advanced SQL for complex analytics and performance tuning.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

Architect enterprise Snowflake platform solutions across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
Administer Snowflake environments, including lifecycle management and virtual warehouse sizing.
Lead Snowflake team, including performance management and career development.
Lead end-to-end Data Cloud delivery for Federal/Public Sector clients.
Implement RBAC, user provisioning, access control, and least-privilege security.
Monitor compute and storage usage, optimize resource utilization, and tune queries.
Partner with engineering to troubleshoot access issues and integrate ETL/BI tools.
Serve as Product Owner for a scrum team consolidating Snowflake environments and data.
