Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support data engineering initiatives in the Life Sciences domain. You will design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Snowflake, AWS, DBT, Python, and PySpark to enable data integration, transformation, and analytics across complex data sources.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders and analytics teams to ensure data quality, governance, and timely delivery, while supporting data migration and modernization efforts in

Qualifications

• Experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse.
• Proficiency with AWS cloud services and cloud-based data architecture.
• Experience with DBT for data transformation and modeling.
• Proficiency in Python and PySpark for data processing.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT frameworks, data integration, and pipeline orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake, AWS, Python, and PySpark.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes for multi-source data ingestion and transformation.
• Develop data transformation models using DBT and implement data quality standards.
• Work with AWS services like S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR, and Redshift.
• Design and support data warehousing solutions in Snowflake with schema design and performance tuning.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to ensure reliable and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and analytics teams to align data solutions with business goals.
• Participate in data migration and modernization initiatives in Life Sciences environments.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and data flow diagrams.
