Job summary

BrainDo, a Philadelphia-based team of data specialists, seeks an experienced Snowflake specialist for architecture review, migration planning, and hands-on support on client engagements. This fractional/contract role is remote with flexible hours and engagement scope.

Candidate will design Snowflake environments, lead migrations, and optimize ELT pipelines while collaborating with analytics teams to align data structures with reporting needs and self-service analytics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years directly using Snowflake as core data warehouse
• 2+ end-to-end Snowflake migrations from design to production
• Strong SQL and analytics-friendly data modeling skills

Responsibilities

• Design and review Snowflake environments (accounts, databases, schemas, warehouses)
• Lead data warehouse migrations into Snowflake from SQL Server or similar
• Define migration phases: assessment, design, ELT, validation and cutover
• Build or review ELT pipelines into Snowflake (staging, copy, merge, incremental loads)
• Advise on cost and performance tuning (warehouse sizing, clustering)
• Collaborate with BrainDo analytics and business teams for reporting and self-service needs
• Provide architecture/code reviews and occasional hands-on implementation support
