10–15 years of relevant experience in data architecture and cloud data platforms
Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in computer science or a related field
Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with a high attention to detail
Minimum of 10 years of experience in data platform architecture, with at least 4–5 years focused on Snowflake.
Proven experience in designing and implementing end‑to‑end Snowflake solutions, including security, performance optimization, and data sharing.
Strong understanding of Snowflake's architecture, including virtual warehouses, Cortex Code, AI, Horizon Catalog, DMF, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Data Marketplace, and secure data sharing.
DBT and other ETL/ELT tools
Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP in conjunction with Snowflake.
Hands‑on experience integrating Snowflake with data governance and catalog tools like Collibra, Alation, or Informatica.
Knowledge of data modeling (dimensional and normalized), performance tuning, and optimization techniques in Snowflake.
Experience in implementing access control, RBAC models, and data masking policies in Snowflake.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt), and DevOps practices for Snowflake.
Excellent collaboration skills for working with cross‑functional teams including data engineers, analysts, security, and business stakeholders.
Design, develop, and deploy scalable and secure Snowflake architectures that meet business and technical requirements.
Establish and enforce Snowflake best practices, including warehouse sizing, clustering, data ingestion, and cost optimization.
Implement data security and privacy controls within Snowflake including role‑based access control (RBAC), masking policies, and auditing.
Work with the governance team to ensure alignment with enterprise data policies and compliance regulations.
Collaborate with engineering, analytics, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure integrated platform solutions.
Provide guidance to developers and analysts on Snowflake usage, patterns, and standards.
Monitor and fine‑tune Snowflake workloads, queries, and storage utilization to ensure optimal performance.
Analyze and resolve bottlenecks or performance issues across the Snowflake platform.
Develop and maintain automated deployment scripts and data pipelines using tools like dbt, Airflow, or equivalent.
Integrate Snowflake with CI/CD workflows and infrastructure as code (IaC) frameworks.
Build monitoring dashboards to track warehouse usage, cost, and system health.
Provide regular updates and reports on platform performance, adoption, and compliance.
Lead training sessions for teams on Snowflake best practices, data access, and performance optimization.
Create technical documentation and solution design artifacts to support adoption and onboarding.
Snowflake Expertise: Architecture, features (Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe), optimization, and platform security.
Cloud Integration: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP services commonly used with Snowflake.
Data Engineering Tools: Experience with dbt, Airflow, Git, and orchestration frameworks.
Governance & Security: Proficiency in RBAC, access controls, data masking, and regulatory compliance.
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively across engineering, analytics, and governance functions.
Communication: Strong documentation and presentation skills to explain complex technical designs.
