Job summary

Pontoonglobal is looking for a SAP data expert to lead data acquisition for our data platforms. You will design and implement extraction pipelines from SAP data, loading into Snowflake and other targets.

Experience with delta/full loads, CDC processing, and robust error handling is required. Familiarity with SAP ECC data areas and ECC→S/4 migrations is highly valued. SNP Glue, SLT, or Replicate experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Expertise in SAP data acquisition and data extraction for data platforms.
• Experience loading SAP data into Snowflake or similar targets.
• Knowledge of delta and full loads, CDC, and error handling.
• Understanding of SAP ECC data areas (procurement, sales, etc.).
• Experience with ECC to S/4 migrations and re-mappings/reloads.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP data extraction and loading pipelines to target data platforms.
• Manage various data load scenarios including delta and full loads.
• Handle CDC processing and robust error handling during migrations.
• Coordinate reconnections and reloads during ECC to S/4 transitions.
• Evaluate and apply data replication tools such as SNP Glue, SLT, or Replicate.

Job description

One key area: depth in knowledge of SAP Data and its acquisition for data platforms

Expertise in managing SAP data acquisition (SAP data extraction > loading to Data platforms such as Snowflake etc.)

This involves expertise in handling different data scenarios (delta loads, full loads and large volumes, CDC processing, error handling etc.)

Knowledge of prominent data tables of key SAP process areas (such as data in procurement, sales etc. of SAP ECC)

Experience of handing large data platform migrations for SAP sources (e.g. re-mappings, reconnections and reloads when ECC to S4 migrations happen etc.)

Typically these will involve a data replication tool for mappings and data load jobs. Good if the person knows SNP Glue, but even other tools such as SLT / Replicate etc. used for data replication are ok)
