Job summary

Giants Ridge is seeking an Equipment Mechanic to inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair a wide range of vehicles and equipment used in our year-round operations. You will support safe operation of snow grooming, grounds, and facilities machinery.

The role requires hands-on mechanical skills, strong diagnostic ability, and the flexibility to perform emergencies in the field. A valid driver's license and willingness to work varied hours are essential.

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED preferred.
Valid Class D driver's license; Class A CDL preferred.
Mechanical maintenance knowledge and problem-solving ability.
Ability to read manuals and interpret technical docs.
Basic electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical system understanding.
Strong communication and ability to work independently or in a team.
Welding, fabrication, machining, electrical, hydraulic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles, equipment, and machinery per schedule.
Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical/hydraulic/electrical systems.
Identify deficiencies and safety concerns; perform field emergency repairs as needed.
Maintain maintenance, inspection, and service records accurately.
Assist in inventory and shop organization; support seasonal prep.
Operate equipment for testing, transport, and repair tasks.
Maintain a safe, clean shop and follow lockout/tagout procedures.
Provide support to other departments and during events as required.
