PSIA-AASI Western Region's Snowboard School Supervisor in Red River, NM, will oversee adult group and private lessons, coordinating with the School Director and 50+ instructors to maintain high teaching standards. You will assign coaches, monitor curricula, and ensure student-centered, safe lessons using PSIA/AASI models while communicating with guests, parents, and management.

Qualifications

  • PSIA Level I Snowboard, or equivalent experience.
  • Positive, flexible, and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Ability to snowboard at an advanced level.
  • Advanced organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to create a student-centered curriculum based on the PSIA/AASI Teaching Model.
  • Ability to provide training and feedback to staff coaches for improvement.
  • Knowledge and application of the Skier Safety Responsibility Code.
  • Ability to define facts, assess problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee participant meeting area, execute set-up, instructor/client interaction, and tear down, clean up.
  • Meet and greet guests and parents and resolve special requests, needs, and conflicts as necessary.
  • Verify appropriate curriculum for each class skill level.
  • Ensure Coaches are creating fun and student-centered lessons.
  • Keep instructors informed of resort news and events, both Mountain and The Town of Red River.
  • Input and assign private lessons.
  • Input coaches’ daily time sheets.
  • Assist in Scheduling all Coaches.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

As the Snowboard School Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in working with the Ski & Snowboard School Director, co-supervisors, other departmental managers, and a team of 50+ Instructors. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the adult group and private lessons offered by the Red River Ski and Snowboard School. This role assigns and monitors coaches who teach snow sports to guests using the PSIA and Red River Teaching Models. The ideal candidate possesses enthusiasm, motivation, and excellent communication skills to serve as a liaison between clients, parents, coaches, and management.

Education and/or Experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
