Qualifications

• Heavy manual labor with standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work day or night shifts to support emergency operations.
• CDL and DOT medical card with ability to maintain; comply with DOT/VDOT policies when operating CDL equipment.
• Safety shoes required.
• Experience operating dump trucks, tractors, front-end loaders, and motor graders.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency operations to clear snow and ice from roadways and apply abrasives and chemicals.
• Perform heavy manual labor including plow, blade installation, debris removal, and tire chains as needed.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment used for snow removal and roadway clearing.
• Stand-by for call-in seasonal work to supplement storm preparation.
• Perform duties and tasks assigned by supervisor.
