Job summary

River City Lawnscape, Inc. is seeking a part-time Snow Removal Technician to join our winter operations in Holmen, WI. You will shovel, snow blow, and salt as part of a 2-3 person crew under the Landscape Install Project Manager.

The role offers on-call hours during snow season with potential to move to full-time in the spring/summer; experience welcomed but not required, high school diploma preferred, and a valid driver’s license is required to operate company equipment.

• Valid driver’s license and must be insurable on company’s insurance policy.
• Safely operate small equipment.

• Follow all instructions given by the manager or crew foreman.
• Prepare vehicles and equipment for the day’s work.
• Operate equipment properly and safely.
• Perform general equipment maintenance.
• Work effectively with little supervision.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently, thoroughly, and per company productions rates.
• Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
• Demonstrate customer service and professionalism.
• Duties, responsibilities and activities subject to change at any time with or without notice to accommodate seasonal and peak business demands

POSITION SUMMARY

The Snow Removal Technician is responsible for being an integral part of our Snow Removal Team. Some of the varied tasks include shoveling, snow blowing and salting. This position is part time. During the snow season, on-call hours will vary. Working conditions vary by the job site. Crews of 2-3 people work together. This position is eligible to become full time in the green season.

EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Posses a valid driver’s license and must be insurable on company’s insurance policy
• Safely operate small equipment

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to lift/carry 75 lbs. On a regular and consistent basis, move about the work site
• Exposed to exterior elements
• Time in the field is 100%
• Requires extended periods of activity; walking, standing, kneeling, bending and lifting

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Wages start at $21.86; actual wage based on experience
• Overtime pay at time and a half
• Opportunity for wage increase after 60 days
