Job summary

Mt. Bachelor is seeking Snow Removal Operators to keep parking lots and roadways clear during night shifts. Operators will use heavy equipment, coordinate with other departments, and help ensure safe, accessible mountain facilities for guests and staff.

Ideal candidates are night-dedicated, physically capable, and safety‑minded, with a valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus. This role offers a seasonal or year‑round opportunity with strong benefits and mountain lifestyle perks.

Position Summary

Mt. Bachelor's Snow Removal Operators are integral to the success and operation of the mountain. Snow Removal Operators clear parking lots and roadways during the night, often in variable conditions, to create safe and usable spaces for guests and employees. Operators use heavy equipment and must be able to work and communicate over distances with each other as well as with other departments for the overall maintenance and accessibility of the mountain.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities

• Clear parking lots and roadways of snow.
• Clear snow from maintenance areas.
• Clean ice and snow from equipment and complete equipment inspections each shift.
• Build and repair tire chains for equipment.

Secondary Function

• Assist the vehicle mechanics in the service and repair of plow equipment as needed.
• Hauling/Moving snow for daytime operations.
• Clear snow off some roofs with equipment.
• Fill potholes in lots and roads as needed.

Interpersonal Contacts

• Grooming operators, Parking attendants, Vehicle mechanics, Lift Maintenance mechanics, Lift Services operators, and early arriving guests in parking areas.

Specific Job Skills

• License/Certifications: Current and valid driver's license.
• Technical: Able to learn and operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Physical Capabilities: Able to work at night in variable weather conditions.
• Additional: Safety as priority, clear communication between other staff and departments. CDL is a plus.

Education/Related Experience

• Minimum education required: High School or equivalent.
• Minimum time in related position: Prior heavy equipment operations preferred.

Current Hiring Rate

$19.72/hr
