Job summary

Mt. Bachelor LLC in Bend, Oregon is hiring Snow Removal Operators to keep parking lots and roads clear overnight in varying weather. You’ll operate heavy equipment, coordinate with teams, and ensure safe mountain access for guests and staff.

Requirements include a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work nights in cold conditions. CDL is a plus, and there are strong benefits and a supportive team culture.

Position Summary

Mt. Bachelor's Snow Removal Operators are integral to the success and operation of the mountain. Snow Removal Operators clear parking lots and roadways during the night, often in variable conditions, to create safe and usable spaces for guests and employees. Operators use heavy equipment and must be able to work and communicate over distances with each other as well as with other departments for the overall maintenance and accessibility of the mountain. Successful applicants are self-driven and used to working hard in adverse weather.

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities

• Clear parking lots and roadways of snow.
• Clear snow from maintenance areas.
• Clean ice and snow from equipment and complete equipment inspections each shift.
• Build and repair tire chains for equipment.

Secondary Function

• Assist the vehicle mechanics in the service and repair of plow equipment as needed.
• Hauling/Moving snow for daytime operations.
• Clear snow off some roofs with equipment.
• Fill potholes in lots and roads as needed.

Specific Job Skills

License/Certifications: Current and valid driver's license.

Technical: Able to learn and operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.

Additional: Safety as priority, clear communication between other staff and departments. CDL is a plus.

Education / Related Experience

Minimum education required: High School or equivalent.

Minimum time in related position: Prior heavy equipment operations preferred.
