Job summary

Denkers Property Maintenance, LLC. in Salt Lake City, UT is hiring a full-time landscaping and groundskeeping worker to manage snow and ice removal, spread salt, and maintain outdoor spaces for commercial and residential sites.

You will assist with winter storm cleanup, perform equipment care, and help with seasonal cleanups as needed. The role is 35 hours per week and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age and able to work outdoors in cold weather.
• Must provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Must be able to perform physically demanding work up to 50 pounds and lift/carry items.

Responsibilities

• Shovel snow from sidewalks and driveways and spread salt.
• Perform commercial and residential snow/ice maintenance including winter storm cleanup, trash/debris pickup.
• Place salt founded on icy surfaces as directed by manager.
• Clean and perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools when not in use.
• Use hand tools and equipment such as ice picks, shovels, and blowers to remove snow and ice.
• Spread salt to sidewalks and driveways using a salt spreader or by hand.
• Prepare equipment and materials for upcoming storms.
• Clean up and prepare properties after snowstorms.
• Fall/spring cleanup tasks such as removal of leaves and debris.

Job Duties:Shovel snow from sidewalks and driveways and spread salt in those areas. Perform commercial and residential snow/ice maintenance including winter storm cleanup, trash/debris pickup, and snow/ice removal. Place salt and/or icemelt on icy surfaces as directed by manager. Clean and perform routine maintenance and/or minor repairs on equipment and tools when not in use. Use hand tools and equipment such as ice picks, shovels, and blowers to remove snow and/or ice. Workers will also spread salt to sidewalks and driveways, by using a salt spreader and/or by hand. Prepare equipment and materials for upcoming storms. Clean up and prepare properties after snowstorms. Potential for fall and spring clean-up such as removal of leaves, branches and/or debris, trim back perennials around properties during fall and spring to prepare property for upcoming snowstorms.

Special Requirements:Must be at least 18 years of age due to the operation of equipment. Must provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug-, alcohol-, and tobacco-free work environment. Must be able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, handling, positioning, moving, pushing, pulling, and carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds (team lifting may be required for heavier items). Applicants must be able, willing, and qualified to perform all duties described and must be available for the entire period of employment. Work will be performed throughout all areas of intended employment. Work is performed outdoors and requires exposure to cold, snow, ice, wind, and other adverse weather conditions. Employees must be capable of performing physically strenuous labor for extended periods in extreme cold and inclement weather. Work schedules may vary depending on weather conditions and operational needs. Hours may fluctuate due to weather conditions. Employees must follow all safety policies and procedures, operate equipment safely, follow supervisor instructions, and work effectively as part of a team.
