Job summary

A & J’s Construction, LLC in Cresco, IA is seeking a full-time janitorial/grounds maintenance worker. You will shovel and plow snow, spread salt, perform outdoor grounds tasks, and assist with related facility work at multiple worksites. 35 hours weekly, schedule 8:00 A.M.

– 5:00 P.M., with potential overtime during emergencies. No prior experience required; must lift 50 lbs, pass pre-employment drug testing, and be able to work in all weather including nights when necessary.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, administered to both U.S. and H-2B workers.
• Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary.
• Work hours may include nights and overtime during emergencies and winter storm conditions.
• Must be able to perform manual physical labor outside during all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Shovel and plow snow from walks, driveways and parking lots and spread salt in those areas.
• Perform grounds maintenance and other duties as assigned related to facilities and roads maintenance.
• Potential for spring clean up.
• Use hand tools such as shovels and brooms.
• Operate vehicles or powered equipment such as a snow blower.
