Job summary

State of Missouri’s MoDOT seeks an emergency maintenance equipment operator to perform routine snow removal duties under direct supervision. This entry-level role involves operating plow vehicles, spreading ice control materials, and performing basic vehicle and site maintenance.

Locations include Jackson County (Stadium, Lee's Summit, Independence). Overtime and night shifts may be required; outdoor work exposes workers to hazards.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with no air brake restrictions and interstate status (EI or NI).
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicles to plow snow and spread ice control materials or to warn oncoming traffic.
• Cleans and performs routine maintenance on vehicles, equipment, buildings and grounds.
• Performs other responsibilities as required or assigned.
