Job summary

Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe is seeking a Grooming/Snowcat Operator to maintain trails and support resort operations in Reno, NV. You will operate snowcats, manage equipment with SNOWsat, and ensure efficient grooming within scheduled timelines.

This role requires strong customer service, the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and a commitment to safety. A minimum of 2 years snowcat experience is required, with emphasis on reliable performance and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid drivers’ license.
• Must be available to work on a flexible basis including: days, nights and weekends.
• Minimum 2 years snowcat operations required.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills required.
• Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for grooming trails at an intermediate level in a reasonable amount of time.
• Use SNOWsat to check equipment in and out. (e.g. snowcats, snowmobiles, and rangers).
• Report any suspicious mechanical issues or abnormal performance of equipment to the Vehicle Maintenance department via SNOWsat.
• Coordinate and cooperate with other departments as necessary in the completion of the above essential duties.
• Aid in terrain maintenance.
• Provide information and answer questions about the resort to resort guests.
• Any other duties that may contribute to the cleanliness, orderliness and overall efficiency of the entire operation and all of the tasks contained therein.
