Job summary

Vail Resorts is hiring for winter 2026/27 for roles including Snowcat Operators, Cooks, Drivers, Instructors and more. Join our mountain team to receive some of the highest compensation, free passes, ski and snowboard lessons, 40% retail discounts, Epic Service training, and wellness benefits.

Positions are seasonal with rolling applications; starting wage is $20.00–$23.00 per hour, with full-time and part-time hours available. Housing is not provided.

Qualifications

• Winter seasonal positions for 2026/27 with rolling hiring.
• Must be 18+ and have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to operate grooming equipment or heavy machinery and work outdoors in mountain conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of grooming equipment.
• Prepare and groom ski area trails and surfaces.
• Work collaboratively with others.
• Minimize downtime through preventative maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep of machines.
• Other duties as assigned.

As a Snowcat Operator, you will groom and prepare the snow surface for the skiing guest. Learn tooperatesome of the coolest equipment in the ski industry!Seekingself-motivated, coordinated, and meticulous people to save their days for skiing, and use their nights to return the trails to a perfectly groomed state.

The expected pay range is$20.00/hr -$23.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
