Job summary

Community Health Centers of America seeks an MD/DO to oversee care in contracted skilled nursing facilities around Jackson, CA. You will diagnose and treat patients, supervise NP/PAs, and coordinate with a team to deliver high-quality care.

The role emphasizes collaboration, compliance with Joint Commission standards, and ongoing professional development. Schedule is Monday–Friday, in-person, with no evenings or weekends required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a degree in medicine and a valid license from the California Medical Board.
• Experience: 3-5 years of related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Licenses/Certifications: Appropriate certifications and/or licensures
• Current BLS/ACLS required
• Current DEA required
• In depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat patients in the SNF setting.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescriptions.
• Monitor and evaluate treatment results.
• Interview patients and review history; perform exams and tests; document findings.
• Collaborate with primary care physicians, mental health therapists, nurses, and others.
• Ensure quality and safety by following policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain medical records and stay updated with continuing medical education.
• Contribute to department reputation and value with proactive initiative.
