Job summary

Community Health Centers of America seeks an MD/DO to oversee patient care in contracted skilled nursing facilities in the Jackson, CA region. The role includes supervising NP/PA staff, diagnosing and treating SNF patients, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

The position features a day shift, Monday–Friday, with no evenings or weekends, and a competitive salary with comprehensive benefits. In-person work location is required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a degree in medicine and a valid license from the California Medical Board.
• 3-5 years of related experience preferred; or equivalent education and experience.
• Current BLS/ACLS required; current DEA required.
• In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medical conditions and diagnose in SNF settings.
• Develop treatment plans and prescriptions; monitor results.
• Document symptoms, medications, and treatment events.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and mental health staff.
• Ensure quality and safety per policies, Joint Commission, and regulations.
• Maintain historical records and pursue ongoing education.
