This Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention (SNAP-Ed) Bilingual Nutrition Educator will primarily be responsible for the delivery of established SNAP-Ed public education programming to improve healthy food and lifestyle choices among families and individuals encompassing all age groups throughout the Long Island SNAP-Ed Region and Nassau County. This position will be based in the CCE Nassau County office. Traveling between Nassau County partnered locations and Suffolk County partnered locations on a daily basis will be required. This position will also include assisting with marketing efforts for SNAP-Ed programming in collaboration with other Nutrition Educators in the SNAP-Ed region.
This is a 1.0 FTE grant-funded position. Funding for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) program is through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and administered by the Federal Food and Nutrition Services (FNS).
Two positions available. These positions are full-time, non-exempt positions, 40 hours per week. The hourly rate for these positions is $25.00. This position, based on eligibility, offers a comprehensive benefit package, to include: health and dental insurance, NYS retirement, vacation and sick leave.
