Job summary

Woodford County is seeking a Part-Time/Temporary SNAP Connect Intern through June 2027. The position pays $18.00 per hour.

You will conduct outreach, provide prescreening and application assistance, help with documentation and portal use, and support SNAP-Ed-aligned educational programs at host sites, coordinating with the local Community Health Worker and tracking client interactions.

Qualifications

• High-School Diploma required.
• Ability to work independently and support team tasks.
• Basic computer and data entry skills, familiarity with online portals.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach at community locations.
• Provide SNAP prescreening and application assistance.
• Assist clients with documentation and ABE portal use.
• Maintain communication with the Woodford County Community Health Worker.
• Track client encounters, applications, and referrals.
• Support SNAP-Ed-aligned educational programs at host site.
