Job summary

The J.M. Smucker Co. Topeka Plant is seeking a Production Technician Snacks Processing to produce high-quality Treats with minimal yield loss and to supply products for the company.

This role requires strict adherence to safety, accurate shift work, and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A High-school degree is required, with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to changes.

Qualifications

• Must be able to report to work on time and to work the entire scheduled work period or shift.
• Accustomed to and able to work in a high-volume, fast-pace environment.
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to changes.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company Safety Rules and GMPs.
• Produce high quality products safely and efficiently.
• Assigned shift attendance is required.
• Operate and monitor production systems.
• Perform weekly start-ups, shut-downs and clean-ups.
• Perform minor maintenance of department equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of production and preparation areas.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack and hand truck.
• Support team members as needed.
