Job summary

PIM Brands is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our Somerset, New Jersey site. You will ensure continuous operation of Dumoulin process and packaging line systems, conduct preventive maintenance, and perform equipment changeovers to support production goals.

Ideal candidates have 3-5 years of experience repairing packaging equipment, a NJ boiler license, and the ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent is strongly preferred.
• 3–5 years’ experience in repairing of manufacturing packaging equipment is highly preferred.
• NJ license to operate a 50 hp boiler – White or Black Special High Pressure required.
• Must be able to competently adjust and repair packaging equipment in a timely manner.
• Must be skilled in mechanical repair, equipment set up, preventive maintenance and equipment changeovers.
• Basic math and computer skills are preferred.
• Ability to read, speak, and write English is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair all packaging line systems and equipment including vertical form and fill bagging machines, rotary cartoners, weigh scales, tapers and conveyors.
• Perform changeover adjustments to product bag, box size changes and to the machines.
• Maintain proper steam pressures, within specs, and perform daily water treatment test.
• Maintain and monitor the Water Treatment room and disposal of process fluids.
• Monitor and service the chilled water system, including cooling tower maintenance and pumps.
• Provide accurate documentation of work in equipment logs and shift handoffs.
