Job summary

Army Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) invites applications for a full-time food service position in a snack bar on base. The role focuses on preparing quick-service items, slicing produce, sanitizing work areas, and handling deliveries.

You will also take orders and may serve alcoholic beverages according to regulations. Applicants must meet age requirements, pass pre-employment checks, and complete required sanitation training within 30 days and annually thereafter.

Qualifications

• Resumes must be two pages (or less).
• Must meet state/local age requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
• A one-year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Satisfactory completion of sanitation training within 30 days and 4 hours refresher annually.
• Pre-employment checks including Tier 1 background investigation may apply.

Responsibilities

• In a Snack Bar prepares a limited variety of short order fast food items such as hamburgers, hot dogs, fish and chicken sandwiches, pizzas, French fries, etc.
• Prepares/slices lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and other vegetables for sandwiches, salads, and pizzas.
• Removes perishable foods from the freezer for daily activities.
• Assures that tables/work surfaces are promptly cleared and cleaned. Cleans other work areas including walls, floors, equipment, and storage areas.
• Takes delivery of supplies and ensures proper storage of shipments after delivery.
• Accepts food orders from patrons and serves alcoholic beverages.
• Coordinates food and beverage needs for special events, not limited to preparing and serving food and cleaning work areas. Performs other duties as assigned.
