Job summary

Valcom is seeking a hands-on assembler to join our Roanoke, VA manufacturing team. You'll work on SMT and through-hole boards, loading feeders, verifying programs, and performing first‑article inspections to keep production moving.

No prior electronics experience is required—we'll provide hands-on training. This full-time role offers a Monday–Thursday evening core schedule, overtime Fridays, and a climate-controlled, flagging space with room to grow.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude and curiosity to troubleshoot and learn.
  • Attention to detail to ensure product quality.
  • Willingness to perform repetitive tasks with hand tools.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions in English.

Responsibilities

  • Load feeders, verify programs, and run first-article inspections.
  • Set up and switch SMT and through-hole equipment for builds.
  • Program offsets, speeds, and placements to match boards.
  • Inspect output at checkpoints to safeguard quality.
  • Top off materials, replace consumables, and perform maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot line issues with teammates to protect yield and schedule.
