Job summary

Q-Edge Corporation in Houston is seeking an experienced SMT Engineering Lead to drive production reliability, lead maintenance initiatives, and push continuous improvement across manufacturing lines.

You will oversee end-to-end SMT processes, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and implement Lean/Six Sigma methods to reduce defects and costs while aligning with customer requirements and TPM goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or proven equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years in electronics manufacturing or similar.
• Experience leading SMT equipment projects and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Resolve production issues and act as SME for SMT equipment.
• Lead preventative maintenance activities and scheduling.
• Plan and execute projects with TPMs; define requirements and timelines.
• Analyze bottlenecks and propose Lean/Six Sigma improvements.
• Manage resources and control costs for production goals.
• Lead root-cause analysis for defects and drive corrective actions.
• Evaluate new technologies and collaborate with customer counterparts for R&D.
