This role acts as the key quality interface between internal site and external suppliers during NPI and mass production. It identifies incoming material risks, drives supplier corrective‑preventive actions, reduces incoming defect PPM, mitigates SMT line downtime risks caused by material defects, and supports stable PCBA mass production and continuous quality improvement.

II. Key Responsibilities
1. New Supplier & New Material NPI Quality Management
  • Conduct supplier qualification, manufacturing process audit and quality capability assessment for new suppliers and SMT‑related new materials. Participate in component/PCB/solder paste sample review, verify supplier test reports, PPAP/APQP documents and material change notification.
  • Define supplier quality specifications, clarify acceptance criteria, special characteristics and SIP requirements for SMT raw materials.
  • Identify material‑related quality risks at NPI stage; push suppliers to complete process optimization before mass production release, avoid mass‑production defects such as tombstoning, bridging, BGA voids induced by incoming materials.
2. Incoming & SMT Production‑Line Abnormality Resolution
  • Track non‑conformance escalated from IQC, SMT production line, SPI/AOI failure analysis lab. Organize cross‑functional communication with suppliers for root‑cause analysis.
  • Drive suppliers to complete 8D/SCAR reports; verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions, perform on‑site validation at supplier side when necessary to prevent recurrence.
  • Execute containment activities including material segregation, return, replacement and emergency stock evaluation to minimize SMT production line downtime loss. Participate in MRB review for incoming non‑conforming lots.
3. Supplier Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor key supplier quality KPIs: incoming defect PPM, lot rejection rate, 8D closure on‑time rate, SMT line material‑related failure rate.
  • Implement regular supplier performance scoring and ranking. Conduct on‑site quality improvement visits for under‑performing vendors.
  • Lead joint quality improvement projects with suppliers; apply quality tools including SPC, FMEA, DOE to improve process stability of PCB, SMD components, solder paste, die‑cutting materials and other SMT key materials.
4. Standardization, Audit & Training
  • Support development and revision of SMT‑material incoming inspection standards (SIP), sampling plan and golden sample management.
  • Execute annual supplier system & process audit plan, follow up audit non‑conformance closure.
  • Provide technical training for IQC inspectors and relevant production staff on SMT‑material defect identification and acceptance criteria.
III. Qualifications & Requirements
1. Basic Requirements
  • Major: Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Design & Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Materials Science and Engineering, Quality Management or other related science/engineering disciplines.
2. Work Experience

Hands‑on experience managing PCB, SMD components, solder paste or die‑cutting material suppliers is mandatory. Prior experience in high‑reliability product sectors, or electronics is highly preferred. Chinese language capability is preferred.
3. Technical Skills
  • Process Knowledge: Well‑versed in full SMT workflow (printing, placement, reflow, SPI/AOI inspection); familiar with IPC‑A‑610, IPC‑A‑600 acceptance standards; understand common SMT defects induced by incoming materials; familiar with ISO9001 / IATF16949 quality system, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA quality tools.
  • Software Proficiency: Able to read Gerber, BOM and PCB drawings; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for data analysis, 8D report generation and KPI dashboard preparation.
4. Core Competencies
