Job summary

Hire Energy Staffing is seeking an SMT Operator/Setup Technician for Garland, TX (2nd Shift: 3:00pm-11:30pm). The role requires hands-on SMT setup and operation on PCB assemblies using screen printers, pick and place machines, reflow ovens and AOI equipment.

Candidates should understand SMT assembly processes and identify SMT packages; IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 are a plus; eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Must have SMT operator experience.
• Familiar with PCB assembly and SMT equipment.
• IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 knowledge is a plus.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform component feeder operation and setup.
• Perform solder paste stencil printing, stencil printer operation
• Operate reflow oven.
• Identify surface mount components.
• Load machine programs and make needed adjustments to improve solder paste print and or component placement on related equipment.
• Ability to read and understand assembly (BOM) bill of materials.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Perform basic machine troubleshooting.
• Able to operate equipment efficiently as measured by daily production requirements.
• Verify and meet acceptable quality standards.
• Set up, operate and manage SMT line.
• Use knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards to help improve manufacturing process and quality.
• Use CIS or CIT / IPC J-STD-001 certification.
