Job summary

Quintech Electronics and Communications, Inc. in Indiana, PA is seeking an SMT Programmer to create, update and maintain SMT programs for AOI and SPI machines, ensuring all programs are current and ECOs are properly implemented.

This is a full-time, in-person role on a 5/8 schedule (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) located at Quintech’s headquarters, with a focus on eliminating on-line program debug, root-cause defect analysis and timely program transfers to SMT equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Panasonic data generation software, Mentor Graphics PCB design software and Gerber editors.
• Familiar with Panasonic placement machines and Koh Young AOI/SPI equipment.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
• Knowledge of SMT manufacturing process and IPC SMT standards.

Responsibilities

• Program, optimize and support manufacturing.
• Develop and implement a plan to eliminate on-line program debug.
• Root cause defect analyses.
• Read and follow work instructions, company standards and procedures.
• Perform tasks with high degree of care and attention to detail.
• Ensure all programs are up to date, and error free.
• Transfer programs from computer database to SMT machines in a timely manner to improve SMT efficiency.
• Perform other related tasks and work overtime as needed.
