Job summary

Electronic Systems Inc. (ESI) is seeking an experienced SMT Operator in Sioux Falls, SD. This full-time, on-site role involves assembling low-volume and prototype projects from prints, inserting components by hand into PCBs, and ensuring accurate placement and final product quality.

You will collaborate with teammates, share soldering techniques, and communicate progress to leads. The position requires 3+ years of production experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read English

Job description

Position: Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Operator
Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Employment Type: Full-Time
Shifts Available: Shift 2 (Monday – Thursday, 3:15pm – 2:30am and Friday 3:15pm – 9:15pm)

Pay: $19.25/hour + $1.00 Shift Differential

**Applicants must have 3+ RECENT years of direct production & assembly experience**

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Work directly from prints or assembly instructions to assemble low-volume and prototype projects

PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to distinguish colors and work around standard production odors.
• Proper PPE required per ESI Safety Policy and OSHA standards.
• Periods of sitting and standing for extended time.
• Bending, reaching, and twisting during assembly and packing.

SCHEDULE

• Full-time, on-site.
• Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
• Monday – Friday 7am to 3:30pm
• Occasional Overtime Saturdays 6am to 11am
